Dear Sir/Madam,
It is my pleasure to introduce you
to the Hotel Rocce Azzurre in
the Aeolian Islands, a group of
seven volcanic islands off the
north-east coast of Sicily.
Hotel Rocce Azzurre is
situated in Lipari, which has a
population of 9,741 and is the
largest and the most fascinating of
the Aeolian Islands. This three-star
hotel stands at the water’s edge and
has the most stunning views. It
enjoys a wonderfully quiet location,
yet is only few minutes’ walk to
Marina Corta, where the people of
Lipari gather in the summer
evenings.
The hotel has 33 cool, restful
rooms, newly refurbished and
charmingly decorated. The majority
have a balcony and sea view. All
rooms have air conditioning,
en-suite shower or bathroom, and
hairdryer, TV, telephone, minibar
and safe. The hotel also has a
terrace/bar, terrace/restaurant,
comfortable lounge and sunbathing
platform with sun beds and
umbrellas. The staff are efficient,
helpful and friendly.
The landscape of Lipari seems to
capture on a smaller scale the
beautiful vistas of its mother
island, Sicily. It boasts many
pleasing excursions and walks, with
something memorable to offer every
visitor. It is a perfect starting
point for a trip to the other
Aeolian Islands, such as a trip to
Stromboli and its still-active
volcano. On these islands you will
be able to enjoy close-up views of
grottoes, coves, dramatic coastlines
and wonderful azure seas, many
imbued with an extraordinary range
of fantastic volcanic colours and
shapes.
